As Valentines Day is tomorrow, I felt it only necessary to write this month’s post about love, and more specifically, Godly love – agape. We should all be loving one another as God has loved us. God’s love is so vast and so great that he sent his one and only son to save us from ourselves, from our sins. “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ- by grace you have been saved..” Ephesians 2:4-5. By grace we have been saved.. What a sweet set of words that is; God’s love is so gracious and so awesome, and through that we have been saved.
We are so blessed to have a God who loves so deeply and so fully. We have the privilege of being able to replicate that love as well as we know how, being a servant of God. “The greatest among you shall be the servant,” Matthew 23:11. To follow and love God is to be a servant of God and to love others as He has loved us.
God’s love, and love in general, is such a powerful force. “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love,” 1 Corinthians 13:13. Love is amazing and powerful and it’s something that we all must thrive on. This month, love one another as God has loved us.
Thanks for reading, friends. Love always, Abby
